Homies series featured on This Is the What

Photo editor Kate Osba has been a long time fan of my work and I appreciate it so much. She gave me an interview a little while back you can see here and today she made a really nice post about my Homies series as well as some other kind words about me and my work.

Also just recently got a little love on Jörg Colberg's well respected photography blog Conscientious.






So excited about the attention that this project is getting.

Check out First-Stop

First-Stop is a new site for photography and illustration promotion. They're trying to keep down on paper waste from promo cards. I think promo cards are important so I don't see them going anywhere any time soon but this is a nice way to promote yourself.

Find my photos and give them a stamp of approval!













Also, my old friend Chad Griffith is on there, give him some love too.

Visitor Portraits

What a crazy birthday week I had, so many people came to visit and the bbq we had was a blast. Thank you to Marion, Jon, Addie, and Mike for trekking out to the west coast. Thanks to everyone that made it out to bbq, we had a blast, hope you did too. And a special thanks to my wife for making it all happen.

Didn't get to shoot everyone that was over that week but I did get to at least shoot Marion and Addie.

Although Kate is obviously not a visitor I shot her as well.

New Portrait Series!

I am so excited to show this work. From beginning to end it took over six months to complete. A lot of emailing back and forth and some logistics of the shoot day but all the work was well worth it. I have a few other projects in the works but those still have a lot of shooting and production to be done.

Special thanks to Homeboy Industries for allowing me the access to make this happen. Also thank you to Aly Cayer, Lauren Lemons, and John DuBois for your help. If you dig the work please make a donation to Homeboy Industries, they are a great organization.

We've been talking about it for years but I finally got to shoot a family portrait of my good friends Marc Sneider and Laurén Ocasio. They moved to LA together a few years before Kate and I got out here. I've known them from the Boston days and have worked with Marc in one way or another over the years. Marc has managed several bands over the years. One of which is a crew of dudes I met through Marc back in bean, Audible Mainframe. You can see some pictures I took of AMF in a older post. Marc also manages Che Vicious and Toussaint. Check them out as well.

Mark is a friend I met through Milk Studios here in LA. He's been working there since they opened. Great dude, only British guy I know that says words sometimes with a southern accent. Check out his blog, he posts some cool stuff up there.

As I mentioned in a previous post I shot producer Al Shux last week. Pretty stoked on how they came out. Al won a grammy last night for his work on "Empire State of Mind", Jay Z and Alicia Keys' #1 single from last year.

I've known Jimi for a number of years now. We met way back in Art School and hadn't seen each other in years till I moved out here and now Jimi and I get to work together and hang from time to time. Jimi's work is rad, check it out here and his blog here.





Jimi's friend Megu, editor for Smart Magazine in Japan, was in town on a little vacation. Jimi has been showing her around LA for a few days.
