Snaps from the past two months...

Funny how much I edit down for a post when I just let a card fill up for a bit.

These first few are from my road trip back east with my dad and Shug. Didn't shoot nearly as much as I did on the move to LA back in 2009 but we didn't stop as much either.

Passed through Arches again so my dad could see it. Still one of my favorite places I've ever been to. Need to plan a serious camping/backpacking trip in UT someday.

Did a gig in Coney Island right when I got back. It is the last season before they strip the place of all its soul.

Made it up to MA a few times already, mostly to deal with some stuff in storage but we did make it to the beach.

Website update

Been a crazy month being back here in NYC. I'll hopefully get to a snaps update this week but today I just finished a website update. I still want to shoot a bit more on the Day Laborers project but I thought I would post my favorite twelve portraits that I have taken so far. I also added a Commercial section, here you can see selected pages from the annual report I recently worked on for NDLON and the informational brochure for The Iraqi Ministry of Energy that was completed last year. I have also added quotes from a few of the subjects of my Homies series, which I think adds another layer to that project.

Here is a mini gallery of the Day Laborers:

En Foco Fellowship

I was also recently awarded with an honorable mention at this year's En Foco fellowship. You can see more info on my artist page on their site and about the show that I will be apart of next year here in NYC.

Special thanks to juror Michael Mazzeo for selecting my work.

Museum of Fine Arts Houston

Just got an email day before yesterday notifying me that I will have a print in the permanent collection of the Museum of Fine Arts Houston in Texas. The print is of Adrien Caceres from the Homies series.
