Still working on the site

I'm still working on the website, but I think I should be pretty done by the end of the week.
I just got back from Molly (formerly Goggin) and Brian Foley's wedding in the Dominican Republic. What a really nice time. I also was the photographer of the event and had a wonderful time doing it. I've heard so many friends of mine that say that they hate to shoot weddings, but for me, when shooting for friends, it goes way beyond the cliche of shooting "a wedding". I am capturing a life event and to be invited by a person or persons to be there for all the intimate moments and allow me to stick a camera in there is an amazing feeling. I have to thank both Molly and Brian for such a great time. I was thinking of posting some of the photo on here but I think I'm going to wait a bit, Mike (molly's younger brother and my brother from another mother) is going to make a website of all the photos, so I think I'll wait and post the link when that is done. I also don't want to try to tell the story the wedding in just one or two photos. As for now I'll post just a portrait of Mike.

I'm really excited to get the website done and have time to keep the blog going.

Marty Mar interview pre-post

Today Kate and I interviewed designer and good friend Marty Mar on how he got into design, what he's working on now and what his plans are for the future. Check out his jewelry site OCD and his personal site. It was Kate and my first dabbling in the multi-media thing. It went really well and Marty was a great sport to be the guinea pig . I got some great photos after the interview but I think that we're going to get together again to shoot some more. The interview was great, I'm really impressed at how well it went, the audio sounds so good and Marty gave us a ton of great material. I'm hoping that we'll have it put together sometime in the next month. We plan on interviewing a couple of more people this month, but I don't think we'll have time to edit them all till March. To best explain the format of what we're doing, check out this site, MediaStorm. We want to start telling stories is this style and plan on not only telling stories about our friends but also cultural and social issues.

Here is a sneak peak of two shots from today.
